You would think that this would be a concept that would easily be excepted and understood - as every religion teaches us not to judge others...but funny that this silly little thought that creeps into most our minds such as "WHO IS BETTER.....me, because my religion is better" - guides most of us, despite the fact that we call ourselves "religious". Religion isn't the problem, the race to being "better" or more desirable than the next is the problem. When we collectively realize that we are special in our own unique ways and that our life paths (including the path of "religion") were given to us inorder to embelish our true selves - we could then find peace in our world. War over who is "better" would no longer be necessary.

....one man's religion is another man's poison....or whatever......nice we have the freedom, and I've found for myself and so many, that 'religion' or 'spirituality' is simply a long journey of a variety of 'conversions' so to speak....One Sunday morning, when in my 20's, while living in the islands, I went out jogging and was able to visit/worship at a Christian Church, a Buddhist Temple, A Jehovah's Witness and a Mormon place of worship...It was great and I enjoyed the freedom of it all---and taking the 'holy highlights' for me.

If I was put on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict me.....that's not a very important question for me anymore, but I would hope, like Mother Teresa said, and perhaps this is a paraphrase:

"Try everyday, in everyway to share the gospel with another, and only if you have to, use words!"

One of my favorite spiritual books that I have downloaded as an audio book as a great resource is Tom Bowden's "50 Spiritual Classics" It so amazing and so worth it....10 minute vinette's on all the great spiritual writings/classics over the years. Here's a link:

http://butler-bowdon.com/50spiritual-classics-list

Blessings Sharing the light!
Ken.

And agreed again, Ben.
Until we do not know WHO it is that is passionate, who is respectful of others, we can do neither. Until we commit to exploring our Inner Selves, beyond name, rank and religion, talking in generalities is all we'd better attempt.

Some people do go to church more than average, but then there are people that go way less. I think a healthy balance is important, but as long as you are happy then who is to say something is too much or too little.

There can be such a thing as too much, even for religion. I have a Christian friend in Memphis. She prays to God about everything. I ask her maybe God doesn't like being pestered about your chicken a'la king.

I think everyone is different and so having "too much church" in your life is something that has to be thought about on an individual level. One person many not go to church but once a year, but if they are comfortable with that then it might be all that they need.
