I think if we ask the question,
"Why did Jesus die?"

most would say,
"He died for our sins
and
He saved us from the consequences of our sins,"

In fact,
there's only one very brief reference in the Gospel accounts
of the death of Jesus
that would indicate that He died for our sins.

Authorities in my past
gave me views
about things that happened in the past.
For a long time,
I kept those views frozen
as my own views.

I thought the authorities had it right.

And so, I was encased in ice.
My projections of the future
were mired in the frozen views of the past.

But Life, True Life,
is not ice-bound;
Life Flows.

I seek a different path
along life’s journey,
an affirmative and friendly path
without condemnation.

I seek a path
that recognizes human limitations and weaknesses
and accepts me as I am.

is of the Kingdom of God
in the Here and Now,
