» The Lover and the Beloved
Julian Colgan
Posted February 14, 2012 by Julian Colgan in Meditations
There are two types of loving sentiments which are mutually acceptable to each other. The first type of love is for one's immediate family and friends. This is also known as social or cultural love. The other type of love, which stems from brotherly love, is of a breed which knows not what is right or wrong in a person or a world. In other words, when one is baptised or initiated by the guru within the lotus heart, a more broad or all-encompassing love begins to blossom within us. Amen - Om

I think there are many different types of love. It is such a complex emotion.

It's good to know that love comes in a variety of flavors and ways (like ice cream).

There are many types of love in the world and how they are expressed but I believe they all have a common bond.

Amen.....Om Shanti!

I love the latter, and the unconditional love that flows within, through us, and out to others......The Divine's love to us, our love to the Divine, and the Divine's love through us to others.......
